Pray for What’s Coming

It’s coming!  I don’t know exactly when; but we have been told that dry weather is just around the corner.  Dry weather puts our construction, grounds and maintenance crews in a “full-steam-ahead” mode.  Please pray for their safety and the myriad of details to be addressed during the next few weeks.

We also have two new leaders on our Program Team.  Charlie Broxton is our new Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries.  Among other things, Charlie will lead the ministry at Ponderosa Lodge this summer.  Chafer Cox is our new Director of Children’s Ministries, and will lead the ministry at Redwood Camp. Both Charlie and Chafer served on our summer staff, then on to seminary and positions as pastors before following the Lord’s leading to come back to Mount Hermon.

Charlie and Chafer’s vision and prayer is to see lives transformed.  Charlie recently shared that: “Transformed lives don’t go back to old ways of living.  Transformed lives become more and more like Jesus and fall more and more in love with Jesus.” Please pray for Charlie and Chafer as they lead their staffs in another tremendous summer of sharing Jesus Christ with children and teenagers.

Every year thousands of lives at Ponderosa Lodge, Redwood Camp and the Conference Center are being changed for Jesus Christ.  The exciting thing is that you are part of all of it.  Thank you for saying yes to God’s plan for His ministries at Mount Hermon.
