Projects Update October 2024
We are so grateful to so many of you who faithfully support the ministry of Kidder Creek Camp through your regular monthly gifts and for those who jump in to help with special projects through Giving Tuesday or special fundraisers!
There is so much happening that we don’t have space to show you all the cool projects that are being finished or are in process. You’ll have to come to camp to experience it and see
for yourselves!
Thanks to our amazing donors, here are some of the cool things that are happening to make camp even better:
- New Sports Court for basketball, pickle ball, and fun!
- Trinity Ridge Zip Line Rebuild— Our 800-foot zip line is in the process of being finalized and will be ready for camp next summer if not sooner!
- Two new-to-us 10-passenger vans that are being used for Wilderness and Mountain Bike Camp.
- New Pond Floaty for more fun in the sun!
- 5 horse trailer used for hauling horses up to High Country Ranch Camp and to winter homes.
- Dodge-N-Arrows — New outdoor team building activity.
- Timberline Cabin foundation improvements.
- A new-to-us GMC truck was donated— we have been praying for a new truck for the last 3 years!
Every dollar raised has gone further due to the generosity of volunteers and contractors who have donated their time on the following projects:
- MTB Trail Improvements on Sugar and Jolly Rancher— Conner Ravenscroft and other local
trail builders - Interior of 3 cabins remodeled
— VMM Volunteer Group - Exterior of Timberline Bathrooms remodeled — VMM Volunteer Group
- Staff Tiny House — In process, due to the help of Wes Leyshon & the Sower Volunteers
- Painting, building & improvements in many camp areas — Sower Volunteers
Major Project Update:
The Secondary Access Road unlocks the rest of the Master Site Plan and is the key that allows us to move forward with other major projects needed to be able to welcome more kids to camp! We await the finalization of necessary permitting and we plan to begin construction this fall.
