Meet Jacob Bass, our new Program Manager

We’re so excited Jacob is joining us at Kidder Creek as our new Program Manager. Get to know more about Jacob  and his history with Kidder in this interview with Topher from our Advancement team!

Jacob, what’s your kidder story?

I was hired by Craig in 2015 as a Timberline (T-line) counselor after finding Kidder on an internet search. In 2016 I was T-line assistant lead, 2017 I was T-line lead and Georgie (my now wife) was Ranch Camp lead, and in 2018 Georgie and I led the first year of MTB Camp.

Cool! tell us about your family.

It’s me, Georgie (married 8 years), Bode (3), Josie (5 months). We met in college at Northern Michigan University. I am originally from Waconia, MN and Georgie from Iron River, MI. We have been serving as youth pastoral staff at Mountain Christian Fellowship in Mount Shasta, CA for the last 7.5 years. We love combining ministry with the outdoors: biking, skiing, trail running, hiking, and playing in water.

What excites you about your new role?

Working at camp has been a dream of Georgie and mine individually since before we were dating. Honestly excited for all life entails at the end of S Kidder Creek Road. Working with Andy is a big ol’ cherry on top of all of that.

How can we pray for you and the team going into 2026?

A smooth transition from my current ministry into the new role. Quick and effective learning. For all the staff and campers: that God would be preparing their hearts and minds for the summer ahead.
