Announcing Redwood Day Camp!
Due to the COVID-19 related challenges of hosting campers from many areas together in an overnight setting we decided to not operate our Redwood summer camp program as normal. Instead we’re pivoting to a program we know that we can run: Redwood Day Camp! Five 8-hour days of fun jam-packed with the best that summer camp has to offer including swimming at the pool, riding zip lines, games, skits, songs and more all outside in God’s creation alongside our loving Christian staff.
Each week we’ll run two programs: Our Primary program for grades 2-3 and our Junior program for grades 4-6.
Our Primary, or lower elementary camp is the perfect introduction to a camp experience. Adventures like the flying squirrel and discovery grove ropes course are designed to challenge and delight 2nd and 3rd graders, while traditional camp activities like swim time, crafts, and campfires start new traditions. Here among the redwoods and alongside our loving staff your camper will meet Jesus in fresh and real ways.
The Junior, or upper elementary camp gives your camper a chance to explore who God has made them to be through increased challenges, new adventures, and counselor led small group times. The zip line and Geronimo swing are age-appropriate challenges to be conquered and target sports like archery allow campers to develop new skills. Community worship and hilarious skits, meaningful dramas, campfires, s’mores, and sharing times will solidify their relationship with Jesus.
Summer is just around the corner….
We’re excited to welcome campers to our newly renovated Redwood Camp this summer and look forward to having fun outdoors in God’s creation with them while they learn about what’s truly important – their relationships with loved ones and Jesus! We’re also excited to partner with local churches and families in welcoming them to Mount Hermon – many for the first time.
Can I come to camp?
Of course! Early bird registration is live right now at the introductory price of $260 and there are many weeks available. Just visit our website at mounthermon.org/redwood-day-camp to register today! We’ve even heard of some out of the area families that are camping locally and bringing their kids to day camp. All are welcome!
See you in the redwoods soon!
