Master Site Plan Update

Rafting at Kidder Creek

We are so excited to finally be reaching the conclusion of the
multi-year process of Master Site Plan Development and Approval!
We have been working with the county planning department for over 12 years to dot all of the i’s and cross all of the t’s in our Environmental Impact Report (EIR). This process has been designed to ensure that our plan will not have a negative impact on the local environment.

This exciting new plan will do two main things: First, it allows us to increase our occupancy, which will let more kids come to camp. Secondly, it will allow us to improve our facilities and recreation options, making the Kidder Creek experience even better than it already is. At Kidder, we deeply believe that kids need positive experiences like camp to help them mature into the person that God made them to be. Our hope is that the approval of this plan will allow us to be that place to even more kids and to give them the best experience possible.

As we continue through the final phase of approval we invite you to join in the process. Here are two ways you can help:

1. Pray— pray that we have favor with our neighbors, planning commission, and board of supervisors as they make decisions about moving forward with the Master Site Plan.

2. Come to the meeting! We are inviting all of our friends who love camp to come to the meeting and show your support. Wear your favorite camp shirt and, if you feel comfortable, share a two-minute testimony of why you love camp, the impact it has had on your life, or why this plan would have a positive influence on young people in our community. That would mean so much to us.

The Master Site Plan will be at the Planning Commission on

August 17th at 9am
in Yreka, CA.

Exact location TBD— look for more info on the web page listed below and on our social media pages.

This is an exciting time and we are so grateful for your support as we finish this process. We look forward to moving forward with plans to make camp better for you and for those you love as soon as we get approval. More kids at camp means more Lives Transformed!
